Paper 3 is where careful, systematic students gain marks that others leave behind, because much of it follows a predictable structure. Start with variables: for any experiment you should be able to name the manipulated, responding and constant variables clearly, since these frame the whole answer.

Data handling is next. Tabulate readings with correct headings and units, record to a consistent number of decimal places, and plot points precisely on a sensible scale. A well-drawn best-fit line and a correctly calculated gradient are reliable marks.

The technique that moves the needle is treating the analysis as a routine: state the relationship shown, quote the gradient with units, and write a conclusion that answers the aim directly.
