Where the marks actually go
In Paper 2, marks are awarded line by line, for the formula, the substitution, the unit and the final answer. Many Miri students write only the answer and lose the method marks.
Our teachers train the full layout until it is automatic, so a student earns every mark their understanding deserves.
Turning Paper 3 into a strength
Graph-plotting and analysis in Paper 3 follow a fixed method, and once a Miri student has that method they rarely lose those marks again. We rehearse it with fresh datasets each week so the technique becomes second nature well before SPM.
Definitions, units, diagrams
Three habits separate a B from an A in SPM Physics, and none needs a laboratory: definitions written in one exact sentence, a unit on every line of working, and diagrams drawn with every label. A Miri student drills all three in the first few lessons.
Students from SMK Lutong Miri and SMJK Chung Hua Miri and other Miri schools take SPM Physics each year; we are independent and teach the national syllabus one student at a time.

According to the official KPM secondary-school list (as at 30 June 2022), Miri has 19 secondary schools teaching roughly 22,032 students, including 16 national secondary schools (SMK), 1 fully residential schools (SBP), 1 vocational colleges (KV), 1 religious secondary schools (SMKA). Among the largest are Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Merbau (3,082 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pujut (2,583 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lutong (2,286 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chung Hua (1,727 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato Permaisuri (1,230 students).
Most sit in the town centre.
