Among the largest are Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Merbau (3,082 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pujut (2,583 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lutong (2,286 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chung Hua (1,727 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato Permaisuri (1,230 students).
