If your child studies SPM Physics in Tuaran, we assign them one of our experienced teachers for focused, one-to-one online lessons. Lessons are in English, the fee is from RM50/hr (the exact rate is quoted on WhatsApp).
Why online 1-to-1 works for Tuaran students
Tuaran sits in Sabah, close to Tuaran town and Mengkabong. Because our lessons are fully online, a student anywhere around Tuaran town joins from home, no travel after school, no time lost in traffic, and the whole hour goes on Physics.
That matters most in the weeks before SPM, when every evening counts. It also widens the choice of teacher: a Tuaran student is assigned the right teacher from our team, not just whoever is nearby.
Tuaran's SMK serve north of KK. The area is home to town families in Tuaran.
Whatever school a Tuaran student attends, the SPM Physics syllabus (code 4531) is the same, and a one-to-one teacher can spend the entire lesson on the exact chapter and question type that student keeps losing marks on, rather than the pace of a class of forty.
Where the marks actually go
In Paper 2, marks are awarded line by line, for the formula, the substitution, the unit and the final answer. Many Tuaran students write only the answer and lose the method marks.
Our teachers train the full layout until it is automatic, so a student earns every mark their understanding deserves.
Turning Paper 3 into a strength
Graph-plotting and analysis in Paper 3 follow a fixed method, and once a Tuaran student has that method they rarely lose those marks again. We rehearse it with fresh datasets each week so the technique becomes second nature well before SPM.
What a lesson looks like
A Tuaran student joins by video call from home. The teacher opens with a quick check to find the exact standard they are stuck on, teaches the idea in plain English with a clear diagram, then works through it as a calculation, step by step.
The student tries an exam-style question with full working, and the hour ends with a short plan for the week.
The weekly rhythm
Most Tuaran students take one hour a week, rising to two in the month before a school exam or SPM. Between lessons the student attempts a small set of questions; the teacher marks them at the start of the next hour, so nothing stays misunderstood for long.
We also tutor students in nearby Kota Kinabalu, Kota Belud and Ranau, so families moving between Tuaran and the surrounding area keep the same teacher and the same plan.
Secondary schools in Tuaran
According to the official KPM secondary-school list (as at 30 June 2022), Tuaran has 8 secondary schools teaching roughly 8,260 students, including 7 national secondary schools (SMK), 1 fully residential schools (SBP). Among the largest are Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Badin (1,950 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pekan Telipok (1,630 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sri Nangka (1,223 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Ria (950 students); Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tenghilan (878 students).
Most sit in the town centre.
Every one teaches the same national SPM Physics syllabus (code 4531), so whatever school a Tuaran student attends, a one-to-one online lesson can go straight to the chapter they keep losing marks on. We are an independent service, not affiliated with any of these schools, and make no ranking or results claims.
