Start from your real week
A plan only works if it fits the time you actually have. Look at your real week, including school, other subjects, rest and commitments, and place physics into the gaps that genuinely exist. Several short sessions spread across the week work better than one long block, and they are easier to protect.
Balance the three kinds of work
Each week should include three activities, not just one:
- Learning: take in new material for the current chapter.
- Revision: revisit an older topic on a spaced schedule so it stays fresh.
- Practice: solve problems and past-paper questions to apply what you know.
Only learning new content leaves old chapters to fade; only doing problems on new topics ignores retention. A mix keeps the whole syllabus alive.
Make each slot specific
Vague plans like study physics rarely happen. Name the task instead: rebuild Chapter 4 formulas from memory, do five Force and Motion calculations, plot two Paper 3 graphs. A specific slot has a clear finish line, so you know when it is done and you avoid drifting.
Keep Form 4 and Form 5 in rotation
Because SPM tests both years, rotate them through your week so neither goes cold. A simple pattern is new Form 5 content plus a spaced Form 4 review in the same week. Give harder chapters a slightly larger share of time.
Review and adjust weekly
At the end of each week, check what you actually completed and adjust the next week honestly, rather than copying an ideal plan you keep missing.
